Georgia, we made history last night. 🙏🏽
Congratulations to Governor-elect Keisha Lance Bottoms — the first Black woman elected governor in U.S. history — to Senator Jon Ossoff on his re-election, and to every winner who swept Georgia's statewide offices: Josh McLaurin, Penny Brown Reynolds, Tanya Miller, Katherine Juhan-Arnold, Keisha Sean Waites, Nikki Porcher, and Lydia Powell.
And right here at home: Congressman Hank Johnson — who stood with our community at the Fourth Source Resources Fair just last week — Congresswoman Nikema Williams, Congresswoman Lucy McBath, Congresswoman-elect Jasmine Clark, and Congressman Sanford Bishop. Atlanta showed up and showed out.
One week ago we were front row at the United for Georgia rally. Last night, Georgia finished what it started. Now the work continues — second chances built this state, and we're just getting started.
